Prepare for authentication
You can configure Permanent IAM Credentials, EC2 Instance Profile, or EC2 Role to Assume Role authentication types to access Amazon Bedrock.
Get authentication details
Ensure you get all the required authentication details based on the authentication method you want to use in the connection:
- Permanent IAM Credentials authentication type
- You need the access key and the secret key for your IAM user.
- EC2 Instance Profile authentication type
- No authentication details are required. The connection uses the IAM role assigned to your EC2 instance.
- EC2 Role to Assume Role authentication type
- You need the ARN of the IAM role assumed by your EC2 role.
