The Taskflow service is the Secure Agent service that runs taskflows on a Customer Managed Secure Agent group without an IDMC connection. The service processes taskflows the same way IDMC does.
Prerequisites
Before you use the Taskflow service, verify the following prerequisites:
- You have the Customer Managed Runtime license. The service package is taskflow-engine-offline.
- You installed a Customer Managed Runtime environment. For more information, see Runtime Environments in the Administartor help.
- Enable the Taskflow Service. To enable the Taskflow Service, contact the Global Customer Support (GCS) and request it for your organization. After GCS enables the service, it starts running on the Secure Agent.
The agent runs, schedules, and monitors taskflows without an IDMC connection. The Secure Agent buffers job logs and license usage until it reconnects to IDMC. Monitoring pages, such as My Jobs and Monitor pages display the jobs after synchronization completes.
The Taskflow service uses default settings, so you don't need to configure service properties.
When the Customer Managed Secure Agent group contains more than one agent, the service distributes taskflow runs randomly across the agents.
