Connect to Qlik Sense

Let's configure the Qlik Sense connection properties to connect to Qlik Sense.

Before you begin

Before you configure a connection, you'll need to get the Qlik Sense server URL, user directory, user name, client certificate file, and the client certificate password to access the Qlik Sense server. You'll also need to copy the Qlik Sense client certificate file named client.pfx to the Secure Agent machine.

Connection details

The following table describes the basic connection properties:
Property
Description
Connection Name
Name of the connection.
Each connection name must be unique within the organization. Connection names can contain alphanumeric characters, spaces, and the following special characters: _ . + -,
Maximum length is 255 characters.
Description
Description of the connection. Maximum length is 4000 characters.
Runtime Environment
Name of the runtime environment where you want to run tasks. Select a Secure Agent as the runtime environment.
Server URL
Qlik Sense server URL to connect to the Qlik Sense Engine API.
To connect to the Qlik Engine API, open a WebSocket to the engine using the following format:
wss://<server.domain.com>:<virtual proxy>/app/
User Name
User name to authenticate to the Qlik Sense server.
Server User Directory
User directory to connect to the Qlik Sense server.

Advanced settings

The following table describes the advanced connection properties:
Property
Description
Client Certificate File
Path to the client certificate file to authenticate to the Qlik Sense server. You can export the client certificate from the Qlik Management Console.

Client Certificate Password
Password to access the client certificate.
