Connect to Veeva Vault

Let's configure the Veeva Vault connection properties to connect to Veeva Vault.

Before you begin

Before you get started, you'll need to get information from your Veeva Vault account to configure the basic authentication type.

Connection details

The following table describes the basic connection properties:

Connection Name
Name of the connection.
Each connection name must be unique within the organization. Connection names can contain alphanumeric characters, spaces, and the following special characters: _ . + -,
Maximum length is 255 characters.

Description of the connection. Maximum length is 4000 characters.

Veeva Vault
Use Secret Vault
Stores sensitive credentials for this connection in the secrets manager that is configured for your organization.
This property appears only if secrets manager is set up for your organization.
This property is not supported by Data Ingestion and Replication.
When you enable the secret vault in the connection, you can select which credentials that the Secure Agent retrieves from the secrets manager. If you don't enable this option, the credentials are stored in the repository or on a local Secure Agent, depending on how your organization is configured.

Runtime Environment
The name of the runtime environment where you want to run tasks.
Select a Secure Agent.

Authentication type

Configure the basic authentication type to access Veeva Vault.
Select the basic authentication type and then configure the authentication-specific parameters.

Basic authentication

Basic authentication is the default type which requires at a minimum the DNS name, API version, Veeva vault account name and password.
The following table describes the basic connection properties for basic authentication:

Vault DNS
The DNS name for the Veeva Vault endpoint.
Enter the DNS name in the following format:
http://<Domain address>.veevavault.com
API Version
The Veeva Vault API version you want to connect to.
Enter the Veeva Valut API version.
For example, If the Veeva Valut API version is 24.3, enter the following value:
v24.3
User Name
The user name to connect to the Veeva Vault account.
Password
The password to connect to the Veeva Vault account.
