The match process identifies pairs or records that require manual review. Use the generate merge tasks job to group the pairs or records and generate review tasks for groups that require manual review. Users then review the tasks and manually merge the appropriate records.
You can define generate merge tasks jobs for native or external workflows.
You can run your existing jobs that don't have the business event type without editing them. When you try to edit the task limits of existing jobs, you have to configure the business event type and task limit.
Effective in the October 2026 release, the ability to define generate merge tasks jobs for native workflows is available for preview.
Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances.
