Defining generate search indexes or match keys job
You can define a job that indexes records and their tasks based on native workflows for search requests or generates match keys for the match process. When you index for search requests, you can index both records and their tasks, or only tasks. You can generate match keys for both source and master records in a business entity.
When you update the search configuration of a business entity, run this job so that the search indexes reflect the latest configuration. When you enable reference data as multilingual and add reference data in multiple languages, run this job so that the search indexes include the localized data.
When you update the match model configurations and run the match and merge job, the match process uses the existing match keys. To generate updated match keys for the merged records and the records that are in the process of merge, run the generate search indexes or match keys job.
After you set the fields in a business entity as reportable and update the business entity, run this job to generate report indexes for the business entity records. Otherwise, the report data continues to use outdated report configuration.
Note:
Effective in the October 2026 release, the ability to index native workflow-based tasks for records and search for records by using localized picklist values is available for preview. Effective in the November 2023 release, the ability to generate indexes for reportable fields in a business entity is available for preview.
Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances. For more information, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.
For records created before the July 2024 release, match keys weren't generated for the master records by default. To generate match keys for the master records, run the generate search indexes or match keys job.
