Ingress data

Create an ingress job to ingress data from an external source system to the Business 360 data store.
    1Click New > Jobs > Ingress > Create.
The Ingress Job dialog box appears.
2Specify the job properties, and click OK.
    The ingress job page appears.
3Click the asset picker and select the MDMIngress process.
4Select the source system from which you want to ingress data.
The default source system is Default
5To update existing records irrespective of the last updated dates in the source system, enable Force Record Update.
When you choose the update operation in a Target transformation in Cloud Data Integration and ingress records without any updates to field values, the records are rejected in the load step. However, the ingress job processes each record internally, which might cause the load step to run longer than expected.
If you don't want to reject the records, ensure that you select Force Record Update.
6To add a taskflow, perform the following tasks:
    1. aClick Add Taskflow.
    2. The Select an Asset page appears.
    3. bSelect the required taskflows, and click Select.
    4. The taskflow appears in the Taskflows section. The associated assets appear in the Assets section.
    5. c Verify that the taskflows you added have unique names and are published.
    6. If multiple taskflows in the ingress job have the same name, you can't save the job.
    7Click Save.
8To execute the job, click Run.
You can monitor the status of the job in the My Jobs page.
Note: To ingress a large volume of data, use the chunking strategy to load a maximum of 25 to 50 million records as part of one ingress job. To optimize the load time and help with the recovery time in case of any job failures, logically divide the large source of data into multiple jobs.
