Ingress data

1Click New > Jobs > Ingress > Create.
The Ingress dialog box appears.
2Specify the job properties, and click OK.
The ingress job page appears.
3Click the asset picker and select the MDMIngress process.
4Select the source system from which you want to ingress data.
The default source system is Default.
5To update existing records irrespective of the last updated dates in the source system, enable Force Record Update.
When you choose the update operation in a Target transformation in Data Integration and ingress records without any updates to field values, the records are rejected in the load step. However, the ingress job processes each record internally, which might cause the load step to run longer than expected.
If you don't want to reject the records, ensure that you select Force Record Update.
6To update only the mapped fields that contain values in the source system without overwriting other field values, select Update only Fields Containing Data.
Ensure that you also select the update operation in a Target transformation in Data Integration.
Note:
Ingress jobs process records based on the operation type of the root field in Data Integration mappings, regardless of the operations specified for field groups. When you specify an update operation for any field group of records without a root field in Data Integration mappings, ingress jobs perform the update operation on the records.
7If you want to overwrite the mapped target field values with null for empty fields in the source system, select Set Empty Fields to Null.
If the fields are empty in the source system and the target fields have no default value, the update overwrites all the mapped target fields with null.
Note:
After migrating your rule associations to use Enrichment and Validation Orchestrator in organizations created before the October 2025 release, you can update only fields that contain values and set empty fields to null.
8To add a taskflow, perform the following tasks:
1. aClick Add Taskflow.
The Select an Asset page appears.
2. bSelect the required taskflows, and click Select.
The taskflows appear in the Taskflows section. The associated assets appear in the Assets section.
To run an ingress job successfully, ensure that the number of assets associated with the taskflows doesn't exceed 80.
3. c Verify that the taskflows you added have unique names and are published.
If multiple taskflows in the ingress job have the same name, you can't save the job.
9Click Save.
10To execute the job, click Run.
You can monitor the status of the job on the My Jobs page.
