To ensure that business managers review and approve data before it becomes master data, define user-triggered and system-generated events. These events trigger workflows that consist of multiple tasks linked together. A user-triggered event includes actions that users perform, such as creating, updating, and unmerging records, or creating and updating hierarchies. A system-generated event includes actions that MDM SaaS performs, such as identifying matches that require manual review.
The review tasks that the user-triggered and system-generated events create require human intervention. The business process is completed only when the users with user roles associated with the review tasks take appropriate actions.
