Introduction to localization
You can use your business applications in different languages. To use the application in languages other than English, translate the labels of assets associated with your applications into those languages.
To translate asset labels, you get started with the translation files that contain translations for all the predefined asset labels. You can also specify the languages that users can use to search for records in business applications.
Before you translate your business applications or configure searchable languages, ensure that you define your data model, and complete configuring business applications.
To manage localization, you need one of the following user roles:
•Admin
•Designer
•MDM Designer
When you add or customize assets in your business applications, you need to update the translation files with translations for the new and custom asset labels. For example, you might configure custom data models and add custom pages, components, and other configurations to your business applications. After you add these custom assets, translate the labels of these assets in the translation files.
