Before you begin modernizing objects in the MDM Hub, ensure that you understand how the modernization process works.
The modernization process involves defining a modernization project, retrieving the MDM Hub and MDM SaaS configurations, mapping fields and attributes in those configurations, and then modernizing the MDM Hub objects. To define a modernization project, you need MDM Hub configuration files, such as Change List XML, user account details, and user role mappings. After retrieving the configuration files, you can proceed to map fields and attributes. You can map the fields or attributes using custom mapping or smart mapping. Then, you can start modernizing the MDM Hub objects and migrate them to MDM SaaS.
