To ensure that relevant source records take part in the match process, you can choose to enable or disable matching for source records.
If a source record doesn't have enough information to contribute to the master record, you might want to disable it for the match process. If multiple source records are merged to form a master record, you can unmerge them, and then disable individual source records for the match process.
By default, source records are enabled for the match process. However, when source records are imported into the application, some records might be disabled for matching.
Source records can be disabled from the match process either before or after you import them. If you get additional information for the source records, you can enable the records for the match process.
Enabling or disabling source records from matching
You can enable or disable the participation of source records in the match process.
1Open a record, and click the Source Records tab.
The Source Records page appears.
2To determine whether the source record is enabled for the match process, review the Not Ready For Match system field value.
3From the Actions menu, enable or disable matching.
