Snowflake Data Cloud Connector > Part II: Data Integration with Snowflake Data Cloud Connector > Mappings for Snowflake Data Cloud > Before you begin

Before you begin

Before you begin configuring and running a mapping, complete the required prerequisites.

Verify permissions

Permissions define the level of access for the operations that you can perform in Snowflake.
The following table lists the permissions that you require in the Snowflake account:

For more information, see Access Control Privileges in the Snowflake documentation.

Verify network access

Before you run a mapping, ensure that ports 443 and 80 are open in Snowflake.
If your network has outbound traffic restrictions, add the cloud platform staging endpoints, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, to the allowlist. This allows uninterrupted data transfer when you fetch large result sets.
For more information, see Allow host names.
