Informatica Intelligent Cloud ServicesData Quality intends to introduce the following changed behavior in an upcoming release.
Changes to rule specification validation
Informatica intends to enhance the in-asset validation behavior for rule specification logic in the July 2024 release. In addition to validating the syntax of the rule logic, the validation check will ensure that the rule logic does not exceed optimal thresholds for size or complexity. From July 2024 onward, Data Quality will perform validation when you validate, test, or save a rule specification.
In anticipation of the new validation, Informatica recommends that you review the configuration of any rule specification that contains logic of significant size or complexity. For example, a rule specification may fail validation if it contains several hundred rule statements. In such cases, consider reconfiguring the rule logic into multiple rules. Rules of such size may also cause runtime errors in the current release.
You can assess the validity of a rule specification in the current release by testing the rule specification asset in Data Quality. If the test fails, reconfigure the rule specification logic into multiple rules.
