Rule specification modes

You can configure a rule specification in basic mode or advanced mode. By default, a rule specification displays the configuration options in basic mode.
Configure a rule specification in basic mode to define business rule logic using the set of graphical elements that the asset provides. Use basic mode if you are not familiar with text-based conditional rule logic. You might also use basic mode if the business rule that the rule specification will represent is easily transferrable into a graphical format.
Configure a rule specification in advanced mode to represent the business rule in expression logic in a text editor. You can use simple expressions, you can use IF-THEN-ELSE syntax to build the rule.
To switch from basic mode to advanced mode, click the Convert to Advanced option on the asset toolbar.
Note: You cannot switch to basic mode from advanced mode.
