Previewing and importing data

After you map the fields, you can save the mapping for future use. Use the preview section to preview and verify the mapping, and then import the data.

1On the Preview and Import File page of the File Import wizard, perform one of the following tasks:

- To save the mapping, select Save as a new mapping, and specify a name for the mapping.

Note: Ensure that you provide a unique mapping name.

If you provide an existing mapping name, you can't save the mapping.

- To overwrite an existing mapping, select Overwrite an existing mapping, click Select, select a mapping, and then click Apply.

- To discard the mapping, select Don't save.

The following image shows the preview of a sample relationship data import:

The Preview section shows a table with four columns such as Source Primary Key, From, To, and _from_sourceSystem, and _to_sourceSystem columns. The table displays the data that's mapped to each column.

2To import the file, click Import

The import process starts.

A job is created to import the data. You get a notification after the import process is complete. You can monitor the status of job in the My Jobs page.
