What does Informatica Enterprise Data Integrator do?
Informatica Enterprise Data Integrator is a high-performance, scalable tool for replicating data from Oracle or SAP sources to Snowflake Data Cloud target data warehouses. It is a native Snowflake application, developed jointly by Informatica and Snowflake, for Snowflake users.

•Uses Snowpipe Streaming to quickly move data to a Snowflake target.
•Can merge and apply CDC changes periodically instead of at transactional boundaries.

•Supports three load types:
- Initial load - Loads source data read at a single point in time to a target. After the data is loaded, the replication task ends. Use for initially populating a data warehouse with data or for reloading data in bulk.
- Incremental load - Replicates data changes continuously or until the task is stopped or ends. Keeps your warehouse and source in sync in near real time.
- Initial and incremental load - Performs an initial load and then automatically switches to replicating incremental data changes continuously.
