When you use a validation predefined function, ensure that you configure the validation message.
1On the business entity page, select a field to associate rules.
2In the Properties section, click Data Quality > Basic.
3Click Add Basic Rule Association.
A form appears.
4In the General section, enter a unique name for the rule association.
5Optionally, enter a description.
6To validate inputs fields that are empty, enable Run rule association even if all input fields are empty.
7On the Condition tab, perform the following tasks:
aSelect a function.
bFor the input field, select an option from the list.
cIf you select Select a Field, select a business entity field from the list.
dIf you select Enter a Value, type a value for validation.
8If you select a validation function, on the Validation tab, perform the following tasks:
aSelect one of the following severity levels for the validation failure:
▪ Information. For minor data quality issues. Users can save the data.
▪ Warning. For less severe data quality issues. Users can save the data.
▪ Error. For severe data quality issues. Users can't save the data.
If you enable error remediation for the business entity, users can save the records with validation errors irrespective of the severity level. However, the trust score is downgraded based on the trust score configuration that you specify.
