Invoking Processes Deployed to a Customer Managed Secure Agent Group
To invoke a process on a Customer Managed Secure Agent group, log in to the agent to get a token, and then send the process request with the token to the agent. The group doesn't use the master agent or load balancer service URLs.
Prerequisites
Before you invoke a process on a Customer Managed Secure Agent group, complete the following tasks:
1Ask your administrator to assign you a role that includes the Offline Secure Agent API Access privilege.
2Set the second password for accessing Customer Managed Secure Agent APIs for your user account. This password is different from your IDMC user password. For more information, see Runtime Environments in the Administrator help.
3Publish the process to the Customer Managed Secure Agent group after you set the password.
To invoke a process that you published, complete the following steps:
1To log in to the agent, send a POST request to the following URL:
- <Secure Agent host>: Host name of the Secure Agent machine.
- <port>: The default port is 9443.
2In the request body, enter your user name and API-specific password. The password is distinct from your IDMC password and never confirms your identity against IDMC. For more information, see Runtime Environments in the Administrator help. The response contains a token.
3To invoke the process, send the request to the Secure Agent URL, and include the token in the RM-USER-TOKEN request header. The Secure Agent sends the request to a healthy agent in the group.
Note:
The token expires after 30 minutes. To get a new token, log in again.
For more information about the login request, see the REST API Reference.
