Introduction to Create Uniqueness Data Quality Rule Occurrences in Data Governance and Catalog recipe
The Create Uniqueness Data Quality Rule Occurrences in Data Governance and Catalog recipe is based on REST APIs. Use the recipe to create or update a rule occurrence with a score for the selected data elements based on profiling results from Informatica Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC). This recipe generates scores based on profiling results, effectively streamlining the typically time-consuming process of managing uniqueness rules within CDGC.
Since CDGC does not have a built-in feature to easily generate scorecards showing the number of unique values for data elements, creating uniqueness rules can be time-consuming. This recipe streamlines and automates that process.
When updating a rule occurrence, the new score will be published even if the data has not been re-profiled. The score might be identical to the previous one when the rule occurrence was created. In addition to publishing the score, updating a rule occurrence also changes the Threshold, Target, and Criticality values.
