To use the IDMC System Log Capture recipe, the following prerequisites must be met:
•Configure the required Secure Agent and enable the Shell Service. Ensure that the Secure Agent's group has the Application Integration service enabled. You must use the same Secure Agent to configure all the assets, such as the service connector, app connections, processes, mapping tasks, and taskflows that are packaged in the recipe.
To configure the Secure Agent, go to Application Integration Console > Server Configuration > Choose Secure Agent > System Services > Shell Service and select the Enable Shell Service option.
•Configure a staging directory on the Secure Agent machine with permissions for the Secure Agent user to read and write. Default is /tmp. Informatica recommends that you use the default staging directory for easy installation. In case you can't use the default staging directory, you can configure a different directory. For more information, see Configure a new staging directory.
•Configure a flat file connection object referencing the staging directory and the Secure Agent configured in the previous steps.
The following image shows a sample flat file connection that contains the staging directory and the Secure Agent configured:
•Configure a cloud storage connection object referencing a location where the final log data will be written to the Secure Agent. This can be any cloud storage provider that IDMC supports. For example, AWS S3, Microsoft AWS, Google Cloud Storage, and Oracle Cloud Storage.
