Application Integration provides multiple connectors that help you integrate with services and data sources outside Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services℠. When you automate business processes, you might want to send email notifications and read emails. For example, in an order management process, you might want to send email notifications to customers to inform them about the order delivery date and also read their email response. You can use Email Connector for this requirement.
Use Email Connector to read email messages stored on an email server and send an email from an email server to a specified list of recipients or distribution lists. After you create an Email connection, you can use it in a Service step in a process or guide to send and read emails.
Email Connector supports the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). You can also configure the Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols in an email connection for secure email transmission.
