Source transformations in mappings

In a mapping, you can configure a Source transformation to represent the MDM SaaS assets in the MDM SaaS data store. If you want to read data from an MDM SaaS asset, use a Business 360 FEP connection.
Business 360 FEP Connector supports the following assets:
When you egress data from a business entity, you can egress data from all root fields, field groups, and dynamic fields.
To egress data by using a Business 360 FEP connection, you can use multiple mapping or use multiple data flows in a single mapping. You can add the mappings to a taskflow and then add the taskflow to an egress job.

The following table describes the Business 360 FEP connection properties that you can configure in a Source transformation:

Name
Enter the source name.
Description
Enter a description for the source.
Connection
Choose a Business 360 FEP connection to read data from the MDM SaaS data store.
Source Type
Type of the source object. Select Single Object.
Object
Select the asset from which you want to read data.
Fields
View all the fields. You can edit the metadata of the listed fields.
Note: When you export a master record with multiple source records, the value of the mergedBusinessId field might be longer than 255. To view the complete field value in the exported files, increase the length of the mergedBusinessId field to a higher value. The default length is 255 characters. You can set up to 30000 characters.
Partitions
Type of partitioning method that you can use to optimize the performance of mapping tasks. The supported method is Fixed.
