Prerequisites

The Cvent account users must create a workspace, define read scopes, and invite developers to access Cvent REST APIs. The developer users must create an application and select the defined scope.

Before you configure the connection properties, make sure to complete the following prerequisites:

•On the Cvent developer portal, create a workspace and invite the developers to join the workspace where the developers can interact with the Cvent REST APIs.

Prerequisites for Cvent developers

1On the Cvent developer portal, create an account.

For more information about creating a developer account, see Creating a developer account.

2Create an application using the Machine to Machine application type.

For more information about creating an application, see Creating an application.

3Select the required read scope for the Cvent application.
4Store the client ID and client secret values from the application to use when you configure a Cvent V2 connection.
