Mappings and mapping tasks with Db2 for z/OS Bulk Load Connector
In Data Integration, create a mapping that includes a Db2 for zOS Bulk Load target and a source of a supported type. Then you can optionally create a mapping task that is associated with the mapping to process data based on the mapping.
The mapping and mapping task information is stored in the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services cloud.
To process the Db2 data, run the mapping task in your runtime environment. The mapping task runs on premises, on the same machine where the Secure Agent and PowerExchange client components run. The mapping task uses the mapping and mapping task information pushed down from the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services cloud. During a mapping task run, Data Integration retrieves the source data and transmits the data to the PWX Bulk Writer based on the mapping.
After a mapping task ends, you can determine its job status and view the session log from either the Data Integration or Monitor interface.
