Use Cases: Configure Operations for Dropbox Source and Target Objects

Object: Upload

Consider the following parameters to upload a file from your local system to Dropbox:

Parameter	Required Selection
Task Operation	Select Insert.
Source Tab, Connection	Select FlatFile connection for Dropbox.
Source Object	Manually create an Upload.CSV file that contains information about the file source and the target location. Select Upload.CSV file as the Source object.
Target Tab, Connection	Select Dropbox connection .
Target Object	Select Upload.

The Upload.CSV file must contain the SourcePath and DestinationPath details.

Object: Revisions

Consider the following parameters to get latest revisions of a file from Dropbox:

Parameter	Required Selection
Task Operation	Select Insert.
Source Tab, Connection	Select Dropbox connection .
Source Object	Select Revisions.
Target Tab, Connection	Select FlatFile connection for Dropbox.
Target Object	In Target tab, Click Create Target to generate a .CSV file. The .CSV file contains information about the file revisions in Dropbox.

The .csv file must contain the following attributes:

• - File Name
• - Revision
• - Creation Time
• - Last Modified
• - IconName
• - Size
• - Path

Object: Restore

Consider the following parameters to restore deleted files in Dropbox:

Parameter	Required Selection
Task Operation	Select Insert.
Source Tab, Connection	Select FlatFile connection for Dropbox.
Source Object	Manually create a Restore.CSV file that contains information about the file that needs to be Restored in Dropbox. Select Restore.CSV file as the Source object. Note: You need revisions ID to restore files in Dropbox. Perform a synchronization task to fetch revisions IDs of files in Dropbox .
Target Tab, Connection	Select Dropbox connection.
Target Object	Select Restore.

The Restore.CSV file must contain the path and revision of the file.

Object: Move

Consider the following parameters to move a file from one folder to another within Dropbox:

Parameter	Required Selection
Task Operation	Select Insert.
Source Tab, Connection	Select FlatFile connection for Dropbox.
Source Object	Manually create a Move.CSV file that contains information about the file that you want to move within Dropbox. Select Move.CSV file as the Source object.
Target Tab, Connection	Select Dropbox connection.
Target Object	Select Move.

The Move.CSV file must contain the source path and the destination path of the file you want to move.

Object: Download

Consider the following parameters to download files from Dropbox:

Parameter	Required Selection
Task Operation	Select Insert.
Source Tab, Connection	Select Dropbox connection.
Source Object	Select Download.
Target Tab, Connection	Select FlatFile connection for Dropbox.
Target Object	In Target tab, Click Create Target to generate a Download.CSV file .The .CSV file contains information about the file source and the target location.

Note: Assign Data filters to the synchronization task to download only the required files from Dropbox.

Object: Delete

Consider the following parameters to delete a file from Dropbox:

Parameter	Required Selection
Task Operation	Select Delete.
Source Tab, Connection	Select FlatFile connection for Dropbox.
Source Object	Manually create a Delete.CSV file that contains information about the file that you want to delete in Dropbox. Select Delete.CSV file as the Source object.
Target Tab, Connection	Select Dropbox connection.
Target Object	Select Delete.

The Delete.CSV file must contain the path of the file which you want to delete.
