Consider the following rules when you switch the Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL ODBC connection, Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse V1 connection, or Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse V2 connection in mappings with Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection:
•When you switch the Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL ODBC connection with Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection, the field mapping is retained only if the Field map options was set to Manual in the previous mapping.
•If the source, lookup, or target connection is parameterized in the mapping, ensure that the Connection Type field in the input parameters is blank.
•If the source object is parameterized, the object is not retained when you switch the connection. You must re-import the object.
•If the existing mapping contains multiple objects, the relationship between these objects is not preserved when you switch the connection.
•If you do not enable the Multiple Matches option for the Lookup transformation in the existing mapping, after the switch the Multiple Matches option is set to Return all rows.
•The filter and sort values are not retained. You must manually add the sort and filter values after you upgrade to the new connection.
