Salesforce Data Cloud targets in mappings

To write data to Salesforce Data Cloud, configure a Salesforce Data Cloud object as a target in a mapping or mapping in advanced mode.
The following table describes the target properties that you can configure for a Salesforce Data Cloud target

Description
Connection
Name of the Salesforce Data Cloud source connection.
You can select an existing connection or create a new connection. You can also click New Parameter to define a parameter for the target connection.
Target Type
Type of the target object.
Select one of the following options:
  • - Single Object
  • - Parameter
Object
Name of the Salesforce Data Cloud target object based on the selected target type.
Select the target object for a single target.
Operation
Type of the target operation.
Select from one of the following operations:
  • - Upsert
  • - Delete

Description
Ingestion Mode
The ingestion mode to load data into Salesforce Data Cloud.
Select one of the following modes based on the data volume, processing speed, and near real-time requirements:
  • - Streaming API. Select to process near-real-time micro-batch datasets.
  • - Bulk API. Select to load large datasets.
    • Before you use the Bulk API ingestion mode, you need to enable a property for the Secure Agent. For more information, see Enabling Bulk API ingestion mode.
Ingestion API Name
The name of the Ingestion API connector used for data ingestion into Salesforce Data Cloud. This API specifies the structure and format of the payload data to ensure compatibility and efficient processing.
Object Name
Name of the Data Lake Object where you want to load the data.
