In CLAIRE Copilot, you can quickly and easily create application ingestion and replication tasks and database ingestion and replication tasks. The tasks can use any load type and any supported source and target combination.
Based on the use case you provide in the initial prompt, CLAIRE Copilot determines the asset type to use, considering both Data Ingestion and Replication assets and Data Integration assets. It then helps you configure the asset and creates it. You can customize the asset in the latest Data Ingestion and Replication task wizard according to your requirements. For information about CLAIRE Copilot's general purpose and interface, see Using CLAIRE Copilot.
CLAIRE Copilot can guide you through the following high-level configuration steps:
1Selecting a target connection.
2Selecting a source connection.
3Selecting a running runtime environment.
4Selecting the target schema, if required for the target type.
5Selecting the source schema, if required for the source type.
6Reviewing a generated summary of the task definition.
7Confirming the task definition to create the task and open it in the task configuration wizard.
Note: Some steps might be skipped. If you enter a specific connection name or schema name in the initial Copilot prompt, the step for entering that information is skipped during the conversation. For example, if you enter a specific source connection name in the initital prompt, the step for selecting the source connection is skipped. If you previously set a default runtime environment for your tasks, the step for entering a runtime environment is skipped.
After the task is generated and opened in the task wizard, you can finalize it by performing the following steps:
1Edit the task to customize it or set additonal fields.
2Save the task.
3Deploy the task to create a job instance, which you can then run from a monitoring interface.
When using CLAIRE Copilot for Data Ingestion and Replication, the following considerations apply:
•You can create file ingestion and replication tasks or streaming ingestion and replication tasks only in the task configuration wizard. CLAIRE Copilot can't yet create these task types.
•CLAIRE Copilot selects all tables or objects in the selected source schema for the task. If you want to replicate a subset, after the task is generated, deselect tables or objects in the task configuration wizard.
•If multiple CDC methods are available for a database ingestion and replication source, CLAIRE Copilot generates the task with the default method. If you want to use another method, edit the task in the task configuration wizard.
•If you previously set a default runtime environment from the task configuration wizard, CLAIRE Copilot uses that runtime environment and doesn't display the step for entering it during the conversation.
•A few required fields are currently not included in CLAIRE Copilot, such as the Stage field for Snowflake targets. You’ll need to set them in the task wizard.
•Prompts for selecting source and target connections display up to five connections. If you need to use another existing connection, you can type the name of the connection.
•CLAIRE Copilot does not generate a brief summary and a technical summary of Data Ingestion and Replication tasks, as it does for Data Integration assets.
•During a conversation, you can't return to previous entries to change them. You'll need to start a new conversation or edit the task later in the task configuration wizard.
