If your organization uses Metadata Command Center and you use a source object with columns associated with a data classification rule, CLAIRE recommends mapplets and user-defined functions associated with the same data classifications.
Before CLAIRE can recommend components, create the data classifications, configure them with a catalog source, and execute a data classification scan job in Metadata Command Center. In Data Integration, associate mapplets and user-defined functions with the data classifications. Then, when you select the source object in the Mapping Designer, CLAIRE recommends mapplets and user-defined functions based on data classifications associated with the object columns.
Mapplet recommendations
CLAIRE might recommend mapplets when the mapplets are associated with the same data classifications as the source object columns.
When a recommendation is available, Data Integration highlights the Recommendations tab. Select the Recommendations tab to see the recommendations.
In the list of recommendations, click the Show Me icon for the mapplet that you want to investigate. A Mapplet transformation with the recommended mapplet appears on the mapping canvas linked to the associated source.
If you want to use the mapplet, in the Recommendations tab, click the Accept icon. In the mapping canvas, connect the Mapplet transformation to the data flow.
If you don't want to use the recommended mapplet, click Decline. Data Integration removes the recommended Mapplet transformation from the mapping canvas.
User-defined function recommendations
CLAIRE might recommend user-defined functions when the functions are associated with the same data classifications as the source object columns.
When a recommendation is available, Data Integration highlights the Recommendations tab. Select the Recommendations tab to see the recommendations.
In the list of recommendations, select one or more user-defined functions that you want to investigate and then click the Show Me icon. An Expression transformation with the recommended user-defined function as a field expression appears on the mapping canvas linked to the associated source. If you select multiple user-defined functions, CLAIRE adds each user-defined function to the Expression transformation as separate field expression.
If you want to use the user-defined function, in the Recommendations tab, click the Accept icon. In the mapping canvas, connect the Expression transformation to the data flow.
If you don't want to use the recommended user-defined function, click Decline. Data Integration removes the recommended Expression transformation from the mapping canvas.
