Enable a mapplet as an API on the Explore page. You can then import the API-enabled mapplet to API Center to design an API endpoint. To enable a mapplet as an API, the mapplet must contain at least one Rule Specification, Cleanse, Parse, Labeler, or Verifier transformation.
To enable a mapplet as an API, perform the following tasks on the Explore page:
1Click the Actions button on any mapplet and select Enable for APIs.
The Enable for APIs dialog box appears.
2Enter a name for the API and click Enable. The name can contain up to 100 characters.
You’ve sent a request for API enablement of the mapplet. You’ll be notified about the status of the enablement request.
To design an endpoint in API Center, import the mapplet that you enabled. After you design an API endpoint, publish the endpoint. You can view your published endpoint in the Published APIs tab in the API Console page of API Center. After you publish the API endpoint, you can integrate the mapplet with external applications.
For more information about designing API endpoints with API-enabled mapplets, see the API Center help.
