Use the dynamic mapping task wizard to create a dynamic mapping task.
To configure a dynamic mapping task, complete the following steps:
1Create the dynamic mapping task.
2Configure parameters.
3Configure jobs.
4Configure runtime options.
As you work through the task wizard, you can click Save to save your work at any time.
Defining a dynamic mapping task
1To create a dynamic mapping task, click New > Tasks. Select Dynamic Mapping Task and click Create.
To edit a dynamic mapping task, on the Explore page, navigate to the dynamic mapping task. In the row that contains the task, click Actions and select Edit.
2In the General Properties area, configure the following properties:

Name
Name of the dynamic mapping task.
Location
Project folder in which the task resides.
If the Explore page is currently active and a project or folder is selected, the default location for the asset is the selected project or folder. Otherwise, the default location is the location of the most recently saved asset.
Description
Description of the task.
Runtime Environment
Runtime environment that contains the Secure Agent to run the task.
Mapping
Mapping associated with the task.
3Click Next.
Configuring default parameters
The Parameters page lists the parameters in the mapping. Configure the default values and settings for each parameter on the Parameters page or configure local parameter values and settings when you configure the job.
Some parameter values depend on other parameters. For example, if a mapping contains a target connection and a target object parameter, you must configure the target connection parameter value before you configure the target object parameter value. Configure parameter values from the top down.
1 Click the row that contains the parameter. Select default scope.
2 For parameters with default scope, select or enter the value of the parameter.
You can also override this value on the Jobs tab.
3Click Settings to configure advanced attributes, formatting options, or field metadata.
The available options change based on the parameter you're configuring.
4Click Next.
Configuring jobs
Configure jobs and groups on the Jobs page.
1In the Jobs area, click Add.
2 To rename the job, click the default name and enter another name.
The default job name is Job_X where X is the sequential job number.
3 Expand the job and configure local parameters. You can also override default parameter values.
4 Select a group to assign the job to.
Configure groups in the Groups area.
5Optionally, click Settings and configure the job properties.
You can configure the following properties:

Data Integration stops the task if the job encounters an error or warning.
7Optionally, configure the serverless usage properties for a dynamic mapping task job.
You can configure the following properties:

Max Compute Units
Increases or decreases the number of compute units corresponding to the machine resources that a job can use.
Task Timeout (in minutes)
Increases or decreases the amount of time in minutes to wait for a job to complete before it is terminated.

Configuring groups
Create groups to batch jobs together.
1In the Groups area, click Add.
2 To rename a group, click the default name and enter the new name.
The default group name is Group_X, where X is the sequential group number.
3To adjust the order in which groups run, click the up or down arrow in the row that contains the group that you want to move.
4Click Next.
Configuring runtime options
Configure runtime options for the dynamic mapping task on the Runtime Options page.
1Select to run the task manually or on a schedule.
You must create the schedule in Administrator before you configure the task.
2Configure email notification options. Select one of the following options:
- Use the default email notification options for my organization.
- Use custom email notification options. Enter the email addresses to use for job failure, warning, and success messages. Enter one or more valid email addresses. Separate email addresses with a comma (,) or semicolon (;).
