The April 2026 release of Data Governance and Catalog includes the following changed behaviors.
Tasks Inbox filter update
In the Tasks Inbox, to view tasks claimed by you, use the Me filter under the Task Owners filter option.
Previously, the Claimed and Other filters included the tasks claimed by you.
Changes to technical rule reference configuration
If you want to use the Create a Rule option when configuring a technical rule reference for a data quality rule template or occurrence in Data Governance and Catalog, your organization administrator must enable the Enable CLAIRE Generative AI Services setting in Administrator.
Previously, the Enable CLAIRE Generative AI Services setting in Administrator didn't influence the Create a Rule option in Data Governance and Catalog.
Make any dashboard your default dashboard
You can set any dashboard as your default dashboard. After you set a default dashboard, you can revert to a default dashboard based on your role, the system default dashboard, or your organization default dashboard.
Previously, you could set only dashboards shared with edit permissions as your default dashboard.
Changes to default value for custom attributes
When you create a business asset in Data Governance and Catalog, the default value for any optional or mandatory custom attribute is not pre-populated. You must specify a value for the custom attribute. An error message appears if you do not specify the value for mandatory custom attributes.
Previously, the default value for optional or mandatory custom attributes was pre-populated in Data Governance and Catalog.
Bulk modifications to a data set
You can modify up to 500 data element in a data set. If you add or remove more than 50 data elements in a data set, a job is triggered to track the progress. The job pauses modifications to the data set, after which you can add or remove the data elements to the data set.
Previously, you could modify only up to 25 data elements in a data set.
Performance enhancement
The April release increases the default limit on the number of jobs that you can run parallely for a given job type in Data Governance and Catalog. If you require further support, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.
Previously, Data Governance and Catalog provided a fixed limit for parallel jobs of a given job type.
Connection for catalog sources
You now use a connection when you configure the following catalog sources:
•Google Looker
•Qlik Sense
•Qlik Sense Cloud
Before you configure the catalog source, create the corresponding connection in Administrator.
Previously, you entered the connection properties directly in Metadata Command Center when you created the catalog source.
For more information, see the corresponding catalog source help.
Data profiling jobs in PostgreSQL catalog sources
Data profiling jobs now ignore unsupported data types and continue to run.
Previously, data profiling jobs that included unsupported data types failed on PostgreSQL catalog sources.
