You can unmask data that was previously de-identified. Initially, you create a Data Integration mapping for moving and de-identifying the data using the tokenize data de-identification technique. Select Consistently Tokenize as the consistency behavior. Then you can create a new Data Integration mapping that reads the now de-identified data and unmasks it using the retain data de-identification technique.
When you prepare to unmask de-identified data, consider the following conditions:
•You can unmask data that was de-identified using consistent tokenization and that uses the same consistency seed.
•If Data Governance and Catalog cannot unmask the data, it returns the previously masked value.
•Unmasking works on field-level de-identifications.
