Unmasking behavior
You can unmask data that a user previously de-identified in IDMC.
When you prepare to unmask de-identified data, consider the following conditions:
- •You can unmask data that a user de-identified using consistent tokenization and that uses the same consistency seed.
- •If Data Governance and Catalog cannot unmask the data, it returns the previously masked value.
- •Unmasking works on field-level de-identifications.
