Bulk import process

To create, update, or delete a large number of business assets in the catalog, enter the asset details in one or more predefined Microsoft Excel template files and import the files to Data Governance and Catalog. You can curate technical assets and enrich them with governance metadata by importing a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx and .xlsm) file but cannot create or delete them through the bulk import process.

Alternatively, you can search for business or technical assets in the catalog and export the results of the search to a Microsoft Excel file. You can then update the exported file to enrich and curate the assets, or mark the exported business assets for deletion. After making changes to the exported file, you can re-import the file to Data Governance and Catalog.
