Using Data Governance and Catalog, you can perform the following types of business activities.

Provide options for enhanced control over how users interact with the assets in your organization using metadata access control.
Browse or search for assets in your organization by building complex queries using easy text constructions. Save a search if you use it frequently and share the saved search with others in your organization.
Track and monitor the most important assets in your organization using dashboards. Create separate dashboards for different business themes, share the dashboards with others, and pin widgets to the dashboards to view the latest data quality values and scores.
Check out a business policy to see if it is in use or has expired, and verify that the latest documents are made available to users in your organization.

Engage stakeholders and collaborators as you modify the properties of a system. Use a workflow to approve your changes before they are published and made available to everyone.
If a table is used extensively in your organization, get a comprehensive view of all systems that access the table. View the table lineage to see the flow of data and to identify process changes and transformations that are applied to the data.
