Prerequisites
To access Data Governance and Catalog, your organization administrator must provide access to the Data Governance and Catalog service. For more information about how the access to assets is managed in Data Governance and Catalog, see the Manage access to assets topic in the Asset Management help.
Assets in Data Governance and Catalog
Data Governance and Catalog extracts metadata from your source systems and displays them technical and business assets. You can perform mutliple activities to catalog and govern these assets. You can search, browse, import, and export assets based on your requirements. You can also create new assets, analyze and understand asset lineage, and control the metadata access policies in your organization.
