The August 2024 release of Data Governance and Catalog includes the following new features.
New relationships panel on custom asset page layouts
When you modify the page layout of an asset, you can now add a new panel that displays an asset's relationship with other assets. In this panel, you can also specify the related asset types that you want to display for the asset.

When you export results of a search, you can now choose to include the existing relationships between business assets in the exported file.

For more information about how you can export relationships between business assets, see Export assets.
Delete relationships between business assets in bulk
You can now use the exported file of a search result to create or delete relationships between the business assets in the results of the search that was exported.
Delete associations between a data set and a data element
When you export the search result of a technical data element, you can remove an existing association of the data element with a business data set. Open the data element export file and add the prefix "DELETE:" to the business data set name or the Reference ID for which you want to delete the association. When you import this file back into Data Governance and Catalog, the association will be removed.
Export and re-import IDMC metadata assets
You can now export IDMC metadata assets to a Microsoft Excel file in Data Governance and Catalog. You can also update the asset description and re-import the file on the New Import page in Data Governance and Catalog.
New catalog sources
This release includes the SAP S/4HANA Cloud catalog source. This catalog source is available for preview.
