Important notices

The July 2025 release of Data Governance and Catalog includes the following important notices.

Pre-upgrade tasks

Perform the following task before you upgrade to the July 2025 release:
Manage draft data access assets
Data Governance and Catalog introduces workflow capabilities for data access assets in the July release. By default, workflow is disabled for data access assets. Any data access assets that are in draft after your organization upgrades remain in draft unless you configure workflow. If you do not plan to enable workflow, review data access assets that are in draft before your organization upgrades. You might decide to publish or delete a draft asset before the upgrade.
For more information about configuring workflows, see Configuring a workflow in the Metadata Command Center help.
Preserve evaluation metric values for AI Model assets
In Metadata Command Center, you can now customize the Bias Score and Drift Score metrics for the AI Model asset type.
To preserve the Bias Score and Drift Score values for AI Model assets currently in Data Governance and Catalog, export the AI Model assets to your local folder before you upgrade to the July 2025 release.

Preview initiated

Catalog sources
Effective in the July 2025 release, the Workday catalog source is available for preview.
Note: Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances. For more information, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.

Dropped support

Effective in the July 2025 release, Informatica dropped support for workflows created using Application Integration processes in Metadata Command Center. To configure and design multi-step approval workflows, you can leverage the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) infrastructure available in Metadata Command Center.
For more information about designing workflows, see Workflows.
Effective in the July 2025 release, Informatica dropped support for the Publish REST API endpoint for data access assets. If you enable workflow, you must add stakeholders to data access assets and submit them for approval through the user interface.

Post-upgrade tasks

Perform the following tasks after you upgrade to the July 2025 release:
Redesign workflows
After you upgrade to the July 2025 release, you need to redesign your existing workflows created using Application Integration processes. You can use predefined workflows that Informatica provides or build your own workflows in Metadata Command Center.
For more information about designing workflows, see Workflows.
Rerun Tableau catalog sources
If you previously extracted metadata from a Tableau source system, set the Metadata Change Option to Delete and then rerun the catalog source job. This is to prevent old and new connection names from overlapping and to ensure that correct connection names appear in Metadata Command Center and Data Governance and Catalog.
For more information about catalog sources, see Catalog Source Configuration.
