Consumer accesses

A consumer access is a record that indicates a Data User's access to a data collection, along with other details such as the date of delivery, details of the stakeholders that delivered the data, and the delivery option that was used for the delivery. Use the Marketplace - Consumer Access Template.xlsx file or upload your own Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to create data access records in Data Marketplace.

Prerequisites

Before you can create consumer accesses, verify the following prerequisites:
Verify the privileges and permissions
Verify one of the following:
Verify the data collections and their delivery targets
Ensure that the data collections for which you want to create consumer access records are already present in Data Marketplace. Additionally, ensure that delivery targets are already assigned to the data collections for which you want to create consumer access records.

Column description

The following table describes the fields in the Marketplace - Consumer Access Template.xlsx file and the values that you can enter:

Reference ID
Enter a reference identifier for the consumer access.
Field Type: Free text; optional
Guidelines: If you don't specify a reference identifier, Data Marketplace automatically assigns a unique value to the object.
If you want to specify a reference identifier, enter a unique alphabetical, numeric or alphanumeric value. You can also use special characters when you enter a reference identifier value. Ensure that the value that you enter doesn’t use a prefix value that is configured in Metadata Command Center.

You can specify Acess01 or AC-1 as the reference ID of a consumer access. However, if ACC- is a reference ID prefix that is configured in your Metadata Command Center, you cannot use ACC-1.
Status
Specify a status for the consumer access in Data Marketplace.
Field Type: Fixed value; required
Guidelines: Enter one of the following values:
  • - AVAILABLE. Indicates that the Data User continues to have access to the data collection.
  • - PENDING WITHDRAW. Indicates that a request is submitted to withdraw the Data User's access to the data collection.
  • - WITHDRAWN. Indicates that the Data User's access to the data collection is withdrawn.

Data Collection Name
Name of the data collection for which a stakeholder granted access to the Data User.
Field Type: Fixed text; required
Guidelines: Enter the data collection name exactly as it appears in the Data Marketplace user interface.
Customer Profile and Address Information
Delivery Target Name
Enter the name of the delivery target that was used to deliver the data collection.
Field Type: Fixed text; required
Guidelines: Enter the delivery target name exactly as it appears in the Data Marketplace user interface. Ensure that the delivery target was already created and assigned to the corresponding data collection.

Data User
Enter the email address of the user that received access to the data collection.
Field Type: Fixed value; required
Guidelines: Ensure that the user you specify is a valid user with the correct object and feature privileges in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services Administrator.

Date Access Granted
Enter the date on which the Data User was granted access to the data collection.
Field Type: Date; required
Guidelines: Enter the date in MM/DD/YYYY format. Mention the date on which a stakeholder of the data collection delivered the data to the Data User, not the date on which the consumer requested for access to the data.

Usage Context
Select the context within which the Data User will use the data.
Field Type: Fixed value; optional
Guidelines: Enter the usage context name exactly as it appears in the Data Marketplace user interface.

Cost Center
Enter the cost center of the Data User that ordered the data.
Field Type: Fixed value; required
Guidelines: Enter the cost center value exactly as it appears in the Data Marketplace user interface.
