Connections

Connections provide access to data in cloud applications, databases, and file storage services. They specify the location of sources and targets that are included in a data loader task.
You create source connections on the Connect Source page and target connections on the Connect Target page when you create a data loader task. To create a connection, click New Connection. You can also create a connection on the Connections page in the Administrator.
When you create a connection, you enter the connection properties so that Data Loader can connect to the source or target to read or write data. For some connection types, you'll also need to enter source or target properties when you use them in a task. For example, if you use Amazon S3 as a source, you'll need to enter the source path for the files you want to read.
