Autonomous enrichment propagates enrichments of one asset to its related assets, so you don't need to curate across multiple connected assets.
Curating the same metadata across multiple connected assets is repetitive work. Metadata also grows inconsistent as the catalog scales.
Autonomous enrichment propagates enrichments such as classifications, descriptions, business names, and glossary associations across related assets. Lineage-based propagation uses data lineage to determine which assets receive the enrichments. The result is consistent metadata across connected assets with less manual curation.
When you enable autonomous enrichment at a global level, all catalog source enrichments become available for propagation. For a catalog source to receive these enrichments, you must enable lineage-based propagation when you configure the catalog source.
For information about how to configure a catalog source, see the corresponding catalog source documentation.
