Stakeholder propagation in a catalog source
In Metadata Command Center, you can configure the propagation settings for stakeholders within a technical hierarchy.
When you enable stakeholder propagation on the parent asset of a technical hierarchy, its child assets can inherit the stakeholders you assign. Whether a child asset inherits stakeholders depends on the settings of the parent asset and on whether you assign stakeholders to the child asset.
You can configure a catalog source to enable or disable propagation of the stakeholders that you assign. When you add the catalog source, you can configure settings to control the propagation of the stakeholders you assign. Additionally, you can override propagation settings for a technical hierarchy from a catalog source page in Data Governance and Catalog.
For more information about stakeholder propagation, see Propagate stakeholders to asset hierarchies in the Asset Management help in Data Governance and Catalog.
