Before you begin
Before you create a catalog source, ensure that you have the information required to connect to the source system.
Perform the following tasks:
- •Get the access URL of the dbt Cloud account. For example: https://cloud.getdbt.com
- •Create a dbt Cloud service token or personal access token for the account that contains the project from which you want to extract metadata.
- •Verify that the dbt Cloud API token is valid and has not expired.
- •Verify that the token is accessible from the region where the dbt Cloud account is hosted.
- •Add the IP address of the Secure Agent machine to the allowlist if the dbt Cloud account restricts access by IP address.
