Step 1. Register a catalog source

When you register a catalog source, provide general information and connection values.
    1Log in to Intelligent Data Management Cloud.
    The My Services page appears.
    2Click Metadata Command Center.
    The Metadata Command Center box appears on the My Services page.

    3Click New.
    4Select Catalog Source from the list of asset types.
    5Select SSAS from the list of catalog source types and click Create.

    The New Catalog Source page opens.
    6In the General Information section, enter a name and an optional description for the catalog source.
    Note:
    You can rename a catalog source after you create it, but to apply the change to all associated objects you must rerun the metadata extraction job.
    After you save the catalog source, you can update the description in and . The update appears only in the service in which you update it.
    7In the Connection Information section, based on the connection values that you got from the administrator, perform the following actions:
    1. aFrom the SSAS Model Type list, select a SSAS model type. Choose the Tabular or Multidimensional model type.
    2. bFrom the SSAS Reader Mode list, select Files or Repository.
    3. cIf you select Files, in the Source Directory field, enter the path to the input files.
    4. dIf you select Repository, in the SSAS Server field, enter the name of the SSAS server. If you use a remote Secure Agent, configure a network login with a domain user who has access to the SSAS server. In the SSAS Server field, enter the IP address and port number of the SSAS server.
    5. Note:
      Use Windows Authentication to connect to the
      SSAS
      server.
    8Click Next.
The Configuration page appears.
