Before you begin
Before you create a catalog source, ensure that you have the information required to connect to the source system.
Perform the following tasks:
- •Assign the required permissions.
- •Configure the SSIS reader module mode to use the Files mode or the SSISDB mode to extract metadata.
- - Get the source information to connect to the Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services source system if you choose the Files option.
- - Configure a connection to the Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services source system in Administrator if you choose the SSISDB option.
- •Complete the prerequisites to extract metadata.
- •Create endpoint catalog sources for connection assignment.
