Before you create a catalog source, ensure that you have the information required to connect to the source system.
Perform the following tasks:
•Assign the required permissions.
•Configure a connection to the Salesforce source system in Administrator.
•Configure a Salesforce Data 360 connection in Administrator to run data profiling and data quality jobs on objects extracted from a Salesforce Data 360 application.
•To extract metadata from a Salesforce source system, verify that you have access to Salesforce REST API or SOAP API.
•To set up authorization to restrict access to your organization's protected resources, use the OAuth 2.0 Refresh Token Flow for Renewed Sessions. For more information about this authorization method, see the Salesforce documentation on OAuth 2.0 Refresh Token Flow for Renewed Sessions.
•Create endpoint catalog sources for connection assignment.
•Optionally, if you want to identify pairs of similar columns and relationships between tables within a catalog source, import a relationship inference model.
