Important notices

The July 2024 release of Metadata Command Center includes the following important notices.

Preview initiated

Effective in the July 2024 release, lineage generation by linking catalog sources is available for preview.
Note: Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances. For more information, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.

Preview lifted

Effective in the July 2024 release, the following catalog sources are lifted from preview and are production ready:
dbt
You can use the dbt catalog source to extract metadata from a data build tool (dbt) source system.
Microsoft Fabric Data Lakehouse
You can use the Microsoft Fabric Data Lakehouse catalog source to extract metadata from a Microsoft Fabric Data Lakehouse source system.
Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse
You can use the Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse catalog source to extract metadata from a Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse source system.
Microsoft Fabric OneLake
You can use the Microsoft Fabric OneLake catalog source to extract metadata from a Microsoft Fabric OneLake source system.

Post-upgrade tasks

Perform the following tasks after you upgrade to the July 2024 release:
dbt
If you previously extracted metadata from a dbt source system, set the Metadata Change Option to Delete and then rerun the catalog source job. This ensures that new objects appear as expected in Data Governance and Catalog.
