Important notices and upcoming changes

The October 2026 release of Metadata Command Center includes the following important notices and upcoming changes.

Preview initiated

Effective in the October 2026 release, periodic review of assets is available for preview when you configure workflow events in Metadata Command Center.
Note:
Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances. For more information, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.

Preview lifted

Effective in the October 2026 release, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud catalog source and its functionalities are production-ready.
Previously, this catalog source was only available in preview.

Deprecated support

Effective in the October 2026 release, the Swagger API catalog source that was available for preview is deprecated. Informatica intends to drop support for the catalog source in a future release.
You can use the new API Design catalog source to extract metadata from an OpenAPI specification document provided as a JSON file or a public URL.

Post-upgrade tasks

Run a full metadata extraction job
Transformation Details information isn't available for assets whose last full extraction occurred before the upgrade. To view transformation details for an asset, the asset must be included in a full metadata extraction job run after the upgrade. After you upgrade to the October 2026 release, run a full metadata extraction job for each catalog source to view transformation details in the lineage.
If you continue running only incremental metadata extraction jobs, you won't be able to view transformation details in the lineage for those assets.
Unassign and re-run SAP ERP catalog source jobs
If you created SAP ERP catalog sources and performed connection assignment with SAP Table assets prior to the October 2026 release, perform the following tasks after you upgrade:
  1. 1Unassign the assigned connections.
  2. 2Run the SAP ERP catalog source job.
  3. 3Run catalog source jobs for all previously-assigned reference catalog sources.
  4. 4Perform connection assignment.
Lineage between source and target might not appear as expected unless you perform these tasks post upgrade.
For information about how to unassign and assign connections, see Connections.
