To extract metadata and to configure other capabilities that a catalog source might include, you need account access and permissions on the source system. The permissions required might vary depending on the capability.
Permissions for metadata extraction
Ensure that you have the required permissions to enable metadata extraction.
Verify that the administrator performs the following tasks:
•Creates a user account for the Informatica user to access the Workday source system.
•Assigns permissions on the objects required for metadata extraction to the Workday user account used by the Secure Agent.
•Assigns the following domain permissions to the integration system user security group based on the object that you extract metadata from:
- Integration Build domain permission for service, operation, operation entity, and operation entity property objects.
- Manage: All Custom Reports, Custom Report Administration, and Reporting Audits domain permissions for business object, data source, report, report property, report entity, and report entity property objects.
Note:
For OAuth 2.0 Refresh Token Flow authentication, ensure that the domain permissions are granted to the integration system security group that includes the integration system user associated with the API client registered for integrations.
Permissions to perform data classification
You can perform data classification with the permissions required on the source system to perform metadata extraction.
Permissions to perform glossary association
You can perform glossary association with the permissions required on the source system to perform metadata extraction.
