Before you start the mapping tutorial, you'll need to set up the source and target connections.
Data Integration comes with some mock connectors that you can use as sources in your mappings. In this tutorial, we'll use the Oracle Mock Connector. You can write to any supported target type. In the tutorial, we'll use a Google BigQuery target as an example.
To prepare for the tutorial, first create a connection to the Oracle Mock Connector. Then, create a connection to your target. You can create a source connection by clicking New Connection on the Source tab of the Source transformation. You can create a target connection by clicking New Connection on the Target tab of the Target transformation. You can also create connections in Administrator on the Connections page.
